As a returning feature of NoDaWeen, KiDaWEEN (Saturday, 10/27, noon-3pm) is back and badder than ever! We’ve got lots planned already: games, facepainting, music, inflatable rides, etc. for kids 12 and under.
We wanted to reach out to the artist community for volunteers who would like to lead a craft event (think glittery spider webs or construction paper jack-o-lanters) or another kid-friendly activity. Organizations are encouraged to create an event as an in-kind sponsor. Individual artists may ask NoDaRioty to fund materials. Please contact Lauren (email@example.com) for more details.
Chalk Art Day:
Every year, Thunder Road Marathon runs through NoDa, and the neighborhood views for the coveted “Most Spirited Neighborhood” Award as we cheer on the runners. This year, we’d like to put the “Art Stamp” on our festivities by inviting EVERYONE (children, artists, & horrible drawers) to come out the night before (or the early morning of) to create a chalk-art path down that extends all the way down 35th Street. Free chalk will be provided. Please remember to exercise caution and yield to all cars, as this is an at-your-own-risk event!!
Chalk available: at 35th & Davidson from Friday, 11/16, 9pm – Saturday, 11/17, 8am
(If you would like to lead a group, please email us to let us know, and we will arrange to get street chalk to you directly.)
